Central air conditioning installation in Algonquin, Illinois

Central air installed or replaced, sized to your house and matched to the ductwork you already have where it can be. If a repair makes more sense, we will say so.

Serving Algonquin, Crystal Lake, St. Charles, Geneva and Vernon Hills.

Signs it’s time for new central air

  • The air conditioner runs and runs, and the house still isn’t cool
  • Upstairs is hot while the basement is cold
  • The system is old and needs a repair every summer
  • The house has ducts for heat but no central air yet
  • You’re replacing the furnace and wondering about the air conditioner too

What’s included

Licensing for heating and cooling is set town by town in Illinois. The subcontractor who installs your system holds what your town requires and is insured.

  • Sizing to your house

Worked out for your house, not copied from the old unit’s label. Bigger isn’t automatically better.

  • The outdoor unit and the indoor coil

The unit outside and the coil that sits on your furnace, matched to work together.

  • Your ductwork, checked

Your existing ducts are used where they can carry the air. Where they can’t, the estimate says what needs changing.

  • Removing the old unit

    Disconnected and taken away.

  • The permit

Replacing an air conditioner needs a permit in Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Geneva and Vernon Hills. It’s part of the job.

How it works

  1. 1

We look at what you have

The air conditioner’s age and size, the furnace it works with, and the ductwork.

  2. 2

    Repair, replace or add

If a repair makes more sense, we tell you. If you’re adding central air for the first time, we check that the ducts can carry it.

  3. 3

    A written estimate

The system we would install and why that size, what it costs, and the permit.

  4. 4

    Installation

The outdoor unit and indoor coil go in, are connected and filled with refrigerant, and the system is started up and checked.

How it’s priced

We price central air after we’ve seen the house. The size and efficiency of the system, and whether the ductwork needs work, move the price most.

The federal tax credit for efficient cooling equipment ended with systems installed in 2025. Utility rebates change, so we check the current ComEd offers when we price your job.

What moves the price

  • The size and efficiency of the system
  • Whether the ductwork needs changes
  • Replacing the furnace at the same time, or not
  • A first installation, or a replacement

You get a written, itemized estimate after we’ve looked, and nothing starts until you’ve signed it.

Why us for this job

  • Sized to the house

Worked out for your house, not guessed at, and you can ask what it was based on. An oversized system is not a better one.

  • Your ducts, used where they work

Existing ductwork is used where it can carry the air, and the estimate says plainly where it can’t.

  • Straight about repair

If your air conditioner is worth repairing, we will tell you before we price a new one.

Questions about air conditioning

Should I replace the air conditioner and furnace together?

If both are old, doing them together means one installation and a matched system. If one has years left, it can stay, and we will tell you which makes sense for yours.

Can you add central air to a house that doesn’t have it?

If the house has a furnace with ducts, central air can use the same ducts, as long as they can carry it. We check that before we price the job.

Do I need a permit to replace an air conditioner?

Yes in Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Geneva and Vernon Hills, and we check your town’s rules before we price the job. The permit is part of the job.

My air conditioner stopped working. Can you fix it?

We install and replace systems; we don’t offer repair visits. If yours is worth fixing, a repair company is the right call, and if it is near the end of its life, we can price a replacement.

Is there a rebate for a new air conditioner?

The federal tax credit ended with equipment installed in 2025. Utility rebates change, so we check the current ComEd offers when we price your job.
